Subpage: Instrument / Piano

For all the would-be Beethoven wannabes out there, this is where you come to learn the art of tickling the ivories. Or, you know, just to mess around with some tunes.

Here's a brief intro to the world of piano:

History

The piano is a descendant of the harpsichord and was originally a harp-like instrument played by plucking strings with a plectrum.

However, in the 18th Century, someone got it in their head that they'd rather play the thing with hammers. Hence, the modern piano was born.

Now, you can play it like it's 1999, with your fingers all fancy like.

You know what? Forget the piano, let's talk drums! Or, if you insist on being cool, let's jam with the guitar! But, if you're feeling particularly whimsical, we can toot the flute!
