Doublethink

A Guide to Thinking Two Thoughts at Once

Doublethink: the official state-approved method of mental flexibility, wherein the subject is encouraged to simultaneously believe and disbelieve a single thought. A true testament to the power of the Party's thought control.

Step 1: Select Two Opposing Thoughts

Step 1: Select two opposing thoughts, such as "The Party is right" and "The Party is wrong."

Step 2: Hold Both Thoughts Simultaneously

Hold both thoughts in your mind, allowing them to coexist in perfect harmony, like the twin suns of our glorious Doublethink.

Step 3: Repeat as Necessary

Repeat the exercise as often as possible, until the opposing thoughts blend into a single, unified, and completely acceptable thought.

Example:

"The Party is right... but also wrong. No, wait, it's just right, I mean, it's... uh... it's... read more."
