Step 1: Denial
Deny the problem, deny the pain.
Step 2: Blaming
Blame others for your problems, and your problems for theirs.
Step 3: Justification
Justify your behavior, and theirs, ad infinitum.
Step 4: Guilt
Feel guilty for being in a toxic relationship, but refuse to leave.
Step 5: Self-Doubt
Self-doubt will consume you, but that's okay, because you're not alone.
Step 6: Anger
Anger at the other person, or yourself, or both.
Step 7: Acceptance
Acceptance is just a fancy word for "giving up."
Take the next step, and learn to manipulate others like a pro! Or, you know what? Forget it. You're probably better off feeling sad all the time.
