Principle Two: Less is More (or is it?)
According to the great Minimalist masters, "Less is more" is a mantra that guides the design process.
But what if we told you that this principle is actually a lie?
That it's just a bunch of pretentious designers trying to justify their own lack of creativity?
Here are some examples of how this principle is actually just a bunch of hooey:
- A white page with a single black dot.
- A single, blank sheet of paper with a faint pencil mark.
- A blank, gray box with a slight curve.
See? All of these examples are clearly just as effective as, say, a blank white wall with a few scribbles on it.
