Founded in 2005 by a group of rogue librarians with a passion for human contact, Free Hugs was born out of a desire to bring joy and awkwardness to public spaces. Our mission: to provide unconditional physical contact to those who need it most, because let's be real, adulting is hard.
Our team is made up of experts in the field of Hugology, with PhDs in Hug-ology from top-tier universities. We've hugging it up since 2005, with over 1,000,000 hugs administered and counting.
