Also known as "The art of finding interesting things to look at while pretending to work", this technique involves using the server as a proxy for your own creative process.
Here's how it works:
- Close your browser tabs, but don't actually close anything.
- Start a server, but don't actually host anything.
- Use your newfound freedom to browse the depths of the internet, searching for inspiration, but not actually finding anything of value.
- Repeat steps 1-3 until you've wasted an entire afternoon.
