You must wear socks at all times. Failure to do so will result in instant disqualification.
Each sock must have at least 5 different colors, 3 different textures, and 2 different patterns. Anything less is a travesty.
Socks must be worn at a length of exactly 10 inches. Any longer or shorter will not be tolerated.
You must wear a matching sock on each foot. Anything less is just plain sad.
You must wash your socks at least twice a week. Failure to do so will result in the dreaded Sock Fungus.
You must not hoard your socks. Sharing with others is encouraged, but not required.
