To Whomever I Have Forgotten to Write,
I just wanted to say, you were the best. I still think you're the best. I've been thinking about you for years, and I've come to realize that I was wrong. I should have written to you sooner. But, alas, the postal service is slow and my emotions are faster.
If only I could go back, I would write to you every day. I would tell you how I feel. I would tell you about the sunshine on my face when I see your picture. I would tell you about the stars shining just for you. But, alas, I didn't.
Now, I'm left with this letter, unsent and forever stuck in my head. Maybe it's better this way. Maybe it's better for you to know that you were never forgotten. Maybe it's better for me to keep my sanity.
Go ahead, write me, I'll wait.
Or don't. I'll just keep this letter to myself.
