Andrew John Warhola Jr. was born on August 6, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was an influential American artist and a leading figure in the Neo-Brutalist movement.

Warhol studied at the Carnegie Institute of Technology and later at the New York Studio School. He became a prominent figure in the New York City art scene in the 1960s.

Warhol's work was a reflection of his fascination with popular culture and consumerism, often using everyday objects as subject matter for his work.
