Apply for an Advocate

Step 1: Meet the Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for an advocate, you must be at least 18 years old, have a pulse, and be able to hold a conversation without getting too distracted by cat videos. We also require a letter of recommendation from a responsible adult, preferably one who's been watching you for more than 5 years.

Get the Application Form or Check the FAQ if you have more questions.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

Please fill out the application form, attach your resume, and a brief essay on why you deserve to be an advocate (500 words or less, please). We also need a 3x5 inch photo of yourself, preferably in a pose that showcases your best features. Don't forget to sign and date the form.

View the Requirements if you need more guidance.

Step 3: Interview with the Board

Our board of directors will review your application, and if they like you, you'll get to meet with them for an interview. Be prepared to answer questions about your interests, skills, and experience. Don't forget to bring your A-game, or at least, your B-game.
