When you're stuck in a jam and you really, really need to borrow something, but you don't want to deal with those boring forms and awkward phone calls, try asking your friendly neighbor. They're probably just sitting at home twiddling their thumbs, wishing for someone to talk to.

Just head on over and ask for that thing you need. It's not like they're gonna say no. Unless it's a lawn chair, because let's be real, those things are everywhere, and they're all identical. You might get lucky and get a decent pair of gardening shears, but a lawn chair? No way.

But don't just stop at borrowing, be a considerate borrower! Return that thing when you're done with it, or better yet, bring over a six pack of their favorite brew and a batch of cookies, and you'll be golden.

Or, you know, just ask for a lawn chair. They'll probably have a whole shed full of 'em.
