Decisions of the Asteroid Naming Committee: Case 5678

Asteroid 5678 (aka "Blerp McSplat")

On Day 14 of the Galactic Standard Calendar (GSC 8765-12-03), the Asteroid Naming Committee convened to discuss the naming of a newly discovered asteroid.

After much deliberation, the Committee voted to name the asteroid "Blerp McSplat" in honor of its unique orbital pattern, which resembles a cross between a splat of paint and a bleep of static.

Chairman of the Committee, Zorvath, Esq., was overheard saying, "It's a name that's out of this world!"
