The Art of Bread Making as Existentialism
The bread, it is a circle. A circle of crust, a circle of dough. It is the ultimate expression of our existence: a moment of impermanence, of transience, of being consumed by the very thing that brought us into being.
We are the bakers, the creators of this circle. We shape, we mold, we bake, and we consume. It is a never-ending cycle, a Sartrean 'existence is for-bread-making.'
Key Tenets:
- Levity of the Loaves: The bread must be risen, but not too risen, for it is in the imperfection that we find perfection.
- Crust Expectations: The outside must be strong, but not too strong, for it is in the fragility that we find strength.
- Butter or Die: The choice is clear, the butter or the die.
- Rise Above: For in the rising, we find our true self, our true purpose.
