Lesson 3: Mastering the Art of Misdirection
Today we're diving into the most complex and least-discussed area of bean hiding: misdirection.
Misdirection is an advanced technique used by seasoned bean hiders to distract the observer from the actual hiding spot. It's the difference between a simple "Hey, look over there!" and a "No, no, I'm over here, right next to the toaster, eating a sandwich."
Here are some tips to help you improve your misdirection skills:
- Practice your "distracting stare."
- Learn to talk about anything except the actual hiding spot.
- Develop a convincing "I'm just looking for my keys" routine.
- Master the art of "accidentally" knocking over a nearby object to draw attention away from the hiding spot.
