Pea Soup of the Ancients
Legend has it that the Pea Soup of the Ancients was the go-to comfort food of the great, great, great, etc., grandmothers of our ancestors. A hearty, warming concoction that defied the harsh winters of yesteryear.
To make it, gather the following:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of dried-out-of-the-mind peas
- 2 cups of water that's been left to sit in the corner since 1987
- 1 tablespoon of that fancy stuff that's supposed to be good for your heart (but probably not really)
Combine these with the power of your own, two fists, to create:
Instructions
- Clutch those peas like your life depends on it (because, let's be honest, it kinda does)
- Mash those peas into oblivion with your trusty spoon
- Stir in that weird, old water and the mysterious heart-stuff, then let it sit for a while, like, a REALLY long while
- Voila! Serve, and bask in the warm, golden glow of your ancestors' love
