Quantum Mechanics is like a fancy dinner party. You invite a bunch of subatomic particles, and they all start talking at once. But, just when you think you have a conversation going, they start to get all noisy and incoherent.
That's when decoherence comes in – the art of politely interrupting them, and saying "excuse me, excuse me, let's start over." And then, you get back to making sense, like a good host should.
