Line Item 42-1-3: Unjustified Expenses for the Fiscal Year 2022 prophets of Profit
The Department of Redundancy and Excess is pleased to announce that we have allocated $1,000,000 for the fiscal year 2022 for the following purposes:
- A team of 50 highly trained, highly redundant, highly paid accountants to do the same tasks they have been doing for the past 10 years.
- A state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line, completely redundant server farm to process the same data that has been processed for the past 5 years.
- A comprehensive, exhaustive, and completely unnecessary report on the history of the department from 1975 to 1987.
We are prophets of profit, and we are confident that these expenditures will yield a 100% return on investment, plus a 5% bonus for being completely redundant.
