Article 4: The Futility of Bureaucratic Efficiency

As we all know, the modern bureaucracy is a behemoth of inefficiency, a behemoth that devours all that lies in its path. But is it truly as inefficient as it seems? We set out to investigate.

Our research team (of one moderately caffeinated intern) poured over reams of documentation, spoke to numerous experts (a janitor), and even conducted extensive research (a 15-minute Google search) to get to the bottom of this question.

And here's what we found: the bureaucracy is actually more efficient than you'd think! It's just really good at hiding that from you.

Take, for example, the 17-page application form for a parking permit. It's a marvel of modern design, a symphony of checkboxes and dropdown menus that will leave you feeling like a true artiste. And don't even get us started on the fine print!

So, the next time you're tempted to complain about the inefficiency of your local bureaucracy, just remember: it's not the system that's inefficient, it's just... you. Or, you know, maybe it's the system. But probably just you.
