Basics

Time is a human construct, a mere social convention. The passage of time is a human experience, not a fixed absolute. In fact, time can be relative. Like, you know, your aunt at the family reunion.

But let's get down to brass tacks. Time can be measured in seconds, minutes, hours, years, decades, centuries, millennia... and, of course, chrono-years. A chrono-year is like a year, but with a dash.

Time flows like a river, but not as smooth as it seems. There are eddies and whirlpools, like the ones you get stuck in when trying to meet a deadline or waiting in line at the DMV.

And then, there's the time paradox. You know, the one where you go back in time and do it all again. Or maybe you just relive the same old memories, over and over. Either way, it's a real brain-twister.

So, that's the basics of time. Not so basic, huh?
