Recipe 5: Ginger Snap Frenzy
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped fresh ginger (about 2-3 inches)
- 1 cup black pepper
Instructions:
- Mix the butter, sugar, eggs, and spices in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- Pulse the mixture in a food processor until it's smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with black pepper.
