Sugar Shock Scones
Warning: these scones are not for the faint of heart (or pancreas)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of pure, unadulterated sugar
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream (optional)
- 1/4 cup of butter, because why not?
- 2 cups of flour, because you need something to soak up the sauce
- 1 egg, because it's not like you need a functional cardiovascular system
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients together in a pot, then stare at the resulting disaster for a few hours
- Stir until the mixture resembles a slightly-less-liquid version of itself
- Pour into a scone mold, then bake until golden brown (or not)
- Enjoy the sugar coma that follows, because you're basically a diabetic at this point
Side effects may include:
- Dizziness
- Diabetes
- Temporary blindness to all things except scones
- Permanant damage to your pancreas
