Article I: Preamble to the Covenant
Whereas, we, the Cookie Monsters, in our infinite wisdom, have decided to form a pact with the King of the Realm of Sugar and Spice; and
Whereas, the King has agreed to provide us with an endless supply of cookies; and
Whereas, we, in our infinite gratitude, have agreed to provide the King with an endless supply of belly laughs;
We, the Cookie Monsters, and the King, do hereby establish this Covenant, which shall be the supreme law of the land, or at least, the supreme law of the land of cookies.
Section 1: The Right to Cookies
Every Cookie Monster has the right to at least 500 cookies per day, plus one cookie of choice for every 10 cookies consumed, with no questions asked.
Section 2: The Privilege of Cookie Tasting
Every Cookie Monster has the privilege of tasting every cookie before it is given to the King, for the purpose of quality control.
