A Brief History of Cox Cable's Involvement with Apollo
It's not every day you hear about the moon landing, but did you know Cox Cable was there too? In the summer of '69, our engineers managed to snag the signal for the historic Apollo 11 mission while it was still in flight. We're not sure what was more impressive, the feat of getting the signal through the Bermuda Triangle or the fact that our customers still didn't get their cable to work properly.
Fast forward to today, and we're proud to have continued our tradition of providing subpar internet speeds and dodgy customer service. But hey, at least our Apollo-esque moonshot of getting 500 channels on your TV package still has people talking.
