The Golden Age of Cox Cable

In the year 2000, Cox Cable's network was the envy of all the land. Our router was strong, our internet was fast, and our customer service was... well, not entirely awful.

But we didn't stop there! We upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0, and suddenly our cable was faster than a cheetah on a Segway. Our modems were the envy of the neighborhood, and our technicians were like ninjas - silent, invisible, and occasionally charging us $200 to fix a loose cable tie.

But what's a golden age without a few scandals? Like the time our CEO, Jack B. Kelley, accidentally sent an email to the entire company saying "I'M THE KING OF THE CASTLE" and then tried to blame it on his intern. Or the time we accidentally upgraded our entire network to IPv6 and nobody knew what it meant, so we just pretended it was a new "feature" and hoped nobody asked questions.

It was a good time to be Cox Cable, indeed.
