Queue Conundrum

It's called a queue, not a line. A line implies a sense of order, of progression, of a clear path forward. But a queue, oh no. A queue is a messy, chaotic, and ever-changing beast. It's like trying to tame a pack of wild monkeys with a lasso.

But why do we call it a queue? Some say it's because of the British, who love their tea. And in their quaint little pubs, they'd stand in a line, but we call it a queue, to make it sound more exotic, more sophisticated. But I think it's because the word "queue" just sounds more interesting. I mean, who doesn't love a good "queue" story?
