Neo-Brutalist: The Technique
The Art of Building a Website That's So Bad, It's Good
Step 4: The Technique of Neo-Brutalist Design
At the heart of every Neo-Brutalist creation is a deep understanding of the art of doing things wrong. It's not about following the rules, it's about breaking them. And then, of course, re-breaking them.
Our technique involves:
- Using the worst possible color palette: a jarring mix of neon hues that scream 'I'm trying to blind you with science!'
- Designing with abandon, ignoring the principles of balance and harmony
- Writing code that's so bad, it's good (or vice versa)
- And, of course, liberally sprinkling in Comic Sans, because who needs readability, anyway?
