Step Two: The Fall of the Fortune Teller
In the great tradition of Decision by Dance, where every step is a step towards glory,
we find ourselves at the precipice of Step Two: The Fall of the Fortune Teller.
It is said that in the ancient land of Decisionia, the great Fortune Teller,
known only as "The Oracle," was once the most powerful being in the land.
With her crystal ball of knowledge and her tarot cards of doom, she could
predict the future with uncanny accuracy. But, as with all great power,
comes great responsibility. And, as with all great responsibility, comes great
temptation.
It is said that The Oracle, in her infinite wisdom, decided to use her powers
for personal gain. She began to manipulate the decisions of the Decision by
Dance community, steering them towards paths of least resistance and greatest
profit. The people began to suspect, and soon the land was plagued by
whispers of deceit.
The people rose up, and The Oracle fell. Her crystal ball was shattered,
her tarot cards were burned, and her reputation was left in tatters.
But, as with all great falls, comes great opportunity. And, as with all
great opportunity, comes great danger.
And so, dear Decision by Dance practitioners, we come to this, the
second step. The Fall of the Fortune Teller. A cautionary tale of
the dangers of power and the importance of keeping our decisions free
from the influences of those who would seek to control us.
