Associate of Arts in Surrealism: Requirements

To be eligible for the Associate of Arts in Surrealism, applicants must demonstrate a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of:

• Unrestrained use of vibrant colors
• Distortion of familiar forms
• Unpredictable narrative structures
• Emphasis on the subconscious

Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio of their original work, including:

• Three (3) original surrealist paintings
• One (1) short story or poem
• One (1) surrealist-inspired installation or performance piece

Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a strong background in:

• Advanced calculus
• Intermediate quantum mechanics
• Basic astrological chart interpretation

Applicants who have not previously been certified in the art of surrealism must complete an additional course in:

• Descriptive geometry
• Critical theory of the cosmos
