Associate of Arts in Surrealism: Requirements
To be eligible for the Associate of Arts in Surrealism, applicants must demonstrate a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of:
- Unrestrained use of vibrant colors
- Distortion of familiar forms
- Unpredictable narrative structures
- Emphasis on the subconscious
Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio of their original work, including:
- Three (3) original surrealist paintings
- One (1) short story or poem
- One (1) surrealist-inspired installation or performance piece
Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a strong background in:
- Advanced calculus
- Intermediate quantum mechanics
- Basic astrological chart interpretation
Applicants who have not previously been certified in the art of surrealism must complete an additional course in:
- Descriptive geometry
- Critical theory of the cosmos
