Protecting the People of the Netherworld

ANUBIS-THE-BLOOD-DOG

God of the Dead, Lord of the Netherworld, and Supreme Canine Overlord of the Egyptian Pantheon.

Godly Responsibilities

As the god of mummification, Anubis is in charge of ensuring that the dead are properly wrapped up in their shrouds and sent off to the afterlife in a timely manner. He also oversees the Weighing of the Heart, where the worthiness of the deceased is determined.

But his true passion is protecting the People of the Netherworld, a group of undead who live in the land of the gods. He keeps them safe from the dangers of the mortal world and ensures that they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

He is often depicted as a man with the head of a jackal, a symbol of his role as guardian of the dead.
