Section 4: Don't Be a Bot

Guidelines for Humans Writing Code

When writing code for robots, remember: humans are not robots, but we're often treated like them. Here are some guidelines to help you avoid being a bot:

  1. Use clear and concise language. No robot-speak, please!
  2. Avoid excessive use of semicolons. It's like excessive use of exclamation points in a teenager's text messages.
  3. Don't be a slave to the code. Write for humans, not for the compiler.
  4. Use comments that make sense to humans, not just for the benefit of future you.

Remember: humans are the real MVPs (Most Valued Partners). Treat them with dignity and respect, even when writing code.
