Overthinking: The Art of Frittering Away Your Life

Causes of Overthinking:
You are a perfectionist. You have high standards. You want to get it just right, even if it takes 4 hours to write an email that's 5 words long.
Symptoms:
- Spending 3 hours deciding between "Buy me a coffee" and "Buy me a latte"
- Reading 17 articles on the same topic before finally starting the task
- Making a flowchart for every decision, no matter how small
Treatment:
We're not sure, actually. Maybe just pretend to be a functioning member of society and hope no one notices.
Or, if you insist on doing something about it, here are some suggestions:
- Prioritize your tasks. Make a list. Stick to it.
- Set a timer. Work for 25 minutes. Take a break.
- Practice the art of saying "good enough."
