It's no secret, Moxie says, that her talent for magic has been a part of her life since childhood. "I used to make my siblings disappear in the closet all the time," she recalls with a grin. "They never appreciated it, but it kept me out of the doghouse."

Mystic Moxie cites a range of influences, from David Copperfield to David Blaine. "They're both masters of the craft," she says. "But let's be real, I'm a cat whisperer. I can make a bird disappear, but only if it's a cat."
