French Omelet Tradition
The art of French Omelet-making has been lost to the sands of time, but not to us.
Here's a brief history:
- 1645: French chef, Jacques, invents the Omelet. He is disappointed that his wife, Madame, does not appreciate the dish.
- 1850: The Omelet gains popularity in Paris, where it becomes a staple of haute cuisine. Unfortunately, the French are not impressed.
- 1950: American tourists, confused by the lack of Omelet enthusiasm, create a new dish: the "Omelet Burger."
For the love of all things French, do not attempt to serve this dish with ketchup.
