The philosophy of grading is a complex and oft-mysterious subject, but we've broken it down into a few simple principles:

Principle 1: The 5-Point Scale

We use a 5-point scale, because 5 is a nice number. It's not too many, not too few. Just right.

Principle 2: The Importance of Sarcasm

We've found that 5 is a very special number. It's the key to everything. Well, not really, but it's still pretty important.

Did you know that 5 is also the number of points on a pentagram? It's like the ultimate symbol of balance and harmony. We're not sure what that has to do with grading, but it's a nice thought.
