The Hothole Yard History Page
Welcome to Hothole Yard, the infamous neighborhood where everyone's house is a hole in the ground.
Hothole Yard was founded in 1952 by the great-grandfather of our current mayor, Mayor H.O. Pyle.
It all started as a small farm, but soon became a haven for eccentric characters and weirdly-shaped holes.
The first hothole ever built was the Pyle family's own "Pyle's Ponderosa," a 10-foot deep hole in the backyard that served as a makeshift swimming pool, storage unit, and time machine.
Over the years, more and more holes were dug, each one more bizarre than the last. The neighborhood became a sensation, attracting tourists from all over the world.
