It is said that in 2000 BCE, the great pharaoh Akhenaten of Egypt created the first known hyperlinks. These were etched into the walls of temples and palaces using a combination of hieroglyphics and twine.
These primitive hyperlinks were used to connect the great pyramids of Giza, allowing the pharaohs to traverse the vast expanse of the Egyptian empire with ease.
Little did they know, this innovation would one day lead to the creation of the modern web as we know it.
