Aging Factors for Depth Discharge

Here be the factors that contribute to the decline of a battery's depth discharge:

1. Oxidation

As a battery ages, its electrodes corrode, reducing its capacity for depth.

2. Sulfidation

Impurities in the electrolyte cause a buildup of sulfur compounds, making it harder for the battery to discharge.

3. Self-discharge

A battery's internal resistance increases with age, leading to a decrease in depth.

Don't forget to regularly inspect your battery and keep it from regularly inspecting it!
