Justifier's Epiphany
It turns out, the answer to the universe's most pressing question wasn't 42, but rather 41.5. The extra half-point was just for us.
Justification 1: The answer was always obvious, you were just too busy not looking.
Justification 2: I told you to look for 42, but you didn't listen. Now don't come crying to me when you can't find it.
Justification 3: The number 42 was a distraction, a red herring if you will. The real answer is in the fridge, next to the leftover pizza.
