King Louis the 14th - Banjo Player Extraordinaire

Meet the king who traded in his scepter for a five-string.

King Louis the 14th was a man of many passions, but none captured his heart quite like the humble banjo.

He'd often be seen strumming his banjo on the palace balcony, much to the chagrin of his courtiers and advisors.

His love of banjo music led him to establish the Royal Banjo Society, a group dedicated to the preservation and promotion of this most noble of instruments.

But beware, for his love of banjo was not without its costs. His subjects would often complain of the racket and din that echoed through the halls of the palace.

Still, the king remained undeterred, convinced that the sweet, sweet sounds of the banjo were worth any amount of grumbling.
