3.3 Label Design Principles
Sub-Principles of Sub-Labels
When it comes to label design, you gotta think like a boss. Like, a boss from the 80s. With big hair and even bigger dreams.
- Be Bold, or Go Home: Don't be afraid to go big or go home. Literally. Make that label stand out like a neon sign in a crowded city.
- Keep it Simple, Stupid**: No need for fancy fonts or colors. A good label should be like a good punchline – short, sweet, and to the point.
- Be Clear, or Be Gone prophets**: Make sure your label says what it means, and means what it says. No room for interpretation, unless it's a clever play on words, and even then, just a bit.
- Be Consistent, or Be Canceled**: If you're gonna do it, do it right. No inconsistencies, no exceptions. Like a good lawyer.
- Be Original, or Be Forgotten**: Don't copy from others, create your own style. Unless you can copy better, then just do that.
And remember, if all else fails, follow the 4.0 Principles of Label Design, or if that's too boring, follow the 4.5 Principles of Label Design.
