A Brief History of the Label

The label, in its purest form, is a canvas upon which the artist expresses their innermost thoughts and desires. Like a Jackson Pollock on a smaller scale, the label-maker's brushstrokes dance across the surface, creating a masterpiece of categorization and distinction.

From the humble beginnings of the 19th century's "Made in USA" label, to the avant-garde masterpieces of modern-day "artisanal, small-batch, gluten-free" labels, the art form has evolved, much like the human condition itself.
