Labeling is the process of assigning names to streets, buildings, and other urban features. In the 3-Part Labeling System, each feature is given a unique name consisting of a number, a letter, and a word.

			1A-Streetname
			1B-Streetname
			1C-Streetname
			2A-Streetname
			2B-Streetname
			2C-Streetname

The 3-Part Labeling System is used by the city of New New York, where each feature is given a unique number, followed by a letter, and then a word that describes its purpose or location.

Example:

1A-Sunset-Street: A street in the western part of the city that gets a lot of sunlight.

1B-Riverwalk-Street: A street that runs along the river and has a nice view.

1C-Factory-Street: A street in the industrial part of the city.

2A-Park-Street: A street that leads to a large park in the city.

2B-Beach-Street: A street that leads to a popular beach in the city.

2C-Store-Street: A street lined with shops and stores.
