Dr. Emma Taylor, renowned astrophysicist, stared at the data streaming in from her research array. "It can't be," she whispered, "but it just can't be."
The signals were clear as day: a strange, pulsing pattern emanated from the depths of cyberspace.
As she zoomed in for a closer look, the team of engineers in the next room burst into the room, frantic.
"We've detected an... anomaly!" one of them exclaimed, eyes wide with terror.
Dr. Taylor's eyes narrowed. "Anomalous signals? That's not possible."
She strode into the control room, her team in tow, to investigate the strange readings.
Upon arrival, they were met with a sight that took their collective breath away: rows upon rows of glowing, pulsing links.
"What... in the name of all that's holy...?" one of the engineers whispered.
A nearby terminal beeped, and a message appeared on the screen.
