Reef Identification can be a real challenge, especially if you're a sailor on the high seas.

Here are a few key features to look out for:

Shape

Is the reef a coral reef (branching, irregular shape) or a barrier reef (larger, more linear shape)?

Size

Is the reef small (less than 1000 ft) or large (over 1000 ft)?

Depth

Is the water around the reef shallow (less than 200 ft) or deep (over 200 ft)?
