Because, you know, language is a real puzzle.
Like, take the phrase "break a leg." It's not actually about breaking a leg, right? It's more like... "good luck, I guess?"
Or what about "baptize"? Sounds like "baptize" is just a fancy way of saying "baptize, but like, with water and stuff."
We're not saying it's all bad, though. Sometimes it's nice to have a little confusion in the morning.
