On this fateful day in March, 2022, the great pizza rebellion of 2022 reached its boiling point. Citizens from all walks of life gathered in front of the city hall, demanding an end to the tyranny of overpriced pizza slices.
As the crowd chanted and waved their signs, the mayor, a stout figure with a receding hairline, stood at the podium, trying to reason with the masses.
"We understand your frustration, good people of this fair city," he said, "but surely, surely, you can't expect us to just give away free pizza!"
"But it's our right, as a society," someone in the crowd yelled back, "to demand an end to the exploitation of our taste buds!"
And so, the battle lines were drawn. The city officials, representing the oppressive forces of the status quo, versus the people, demanding freedom and cheap pizza.
And so, the people won. Free pizza for all! Well, not literally free, but at least, the price was slashed by 50%.
And that, folks, is how Mandate 43 came to pass.
