Snack Standards Committee Meeting 44: The Great Pretzel Debacle

Meeting Notes:

Present: Chairperson Reginald P. Bottomsworth, Pretzel Connoisseur; Vice Chairperson, Brie B. Bland; Members: Dr. Emily E. Chips, Professor P. Pimento, and Mr. Jack J. Jazzy

Agenda Item 1: Pretzel Toppings

The committee convened at 10:00 AM sharp. Chairperson Bottomsworth began by calling the meeting to order, and the first agenda item was brought forth: Pretzel Toppings.

Dr. Chips, the committee's resident expert on all things crunchy, presented a comprehensive report on the various toppings one may apply to a pretzel. She outlined the merits and drawbacks of each topping, concluding that mustard and cheese were the clear winners, while hummus was a distant also-ran.

Professor Pimento, however, countered that hummus was, in fact, the superior topping, citing studies he claimed to have conducted in a secret underground bunker.

Chairperson Bottomsworth intervened, reminding the committee that the discussion on Pretzel Toppings was not to debate, but to decide. After a heated exchange, the committee voted 4-1 in favor of mustard and cheese.

A motion to add a pretzel-optional pretzel stick to the menu, brought forth by Mr. Jazzy, was tabled (pun intended).

The committee adjourned at 11:15 AM. Next meeting: Snack Food Safety Protocols.
