It was supposed to be a keynote, but it ended up being a meeting. In the conference room. At 8:00 AM. With the projector not working.
I was supposed to talk about the importance of fine print, but I ended up talking about the importance of not having to talk about fine print. It's a long story, but let's just say I had a lot of "notes" that I couldn't remember.
There were a few other people there, but they all seemed to be suffering from a bad case of "meeting-itis" – you know, the one where you forget what you came in for, and just end up staring at the walls.
I'm not saying I didn't learn anything, but I'm also not saying I did. I mean, I did remember to bring my lunch, but that's about it.
