Appendix 3.1: The Ancient Mandate 3 Snack Rotation Protocol
In the ancient days of the Mandate, our forebears were beset on all sides by the perils of hunger and boredom.
To combat these twin scourges, they established the Snack Rotation Protocol, a sacred tradition that guided the snacking choices of our ancestors.
Step 1: The Initial Offering
- Present a selection of three snacks to the gathering: a cracker, a cheese puff, and a granola bar.
- Rotate the snacks in a clockwise direction, ensuring the cracker remains on the outside.
- Designate a snacking elder to lead the proceedings.
Step 2: The Snack Cycle
- Each participant shall take one snack from the rotation, with their choice determined by the position of the stars.
- Those who partake of the cracker first shall be granted an extra ration of cheese puffs.
- The snacking elder shall maintain a running tally of the snacks consumed.
Step 3: The Snack Conclave
- When the rotation is complete, the gathering shall convene in the Snack Conclave.
- Here, the participants shall discuss the merits of the snacks, debating the finer points of texture and flavor.
- Those who have consumed the cracker shall be granted the privilege of leading the discussion.
