- Stare intensely at a screen while tapping keys with your index finger.
- Cram as much useless information as possible into a spreadsheet.
- Cite "creative blocks" as a reason for lack of productivity.
Sub-Technique: "Just Checking" Syndrome
Repeat this phrase to anyone who asks you to do actual work:
- "Just checking on that." (pause)
- "Just checking on that, yeah, no, I'm good." (pause)
- "Just checking, actually doing nothing, just checking." (pause)
